Pay Item Pay Amount Details

Special Education Stipend $5,528 Recruitment and retention of Special Education teachers. Also reflects payment for extra duties required, such as writing IEPs, assigning work to paraeducators, etc. Pay spread over duration of regular salary pay. Prorated by FTE.

We also know that inclusive practices are hard work, and we don't expect our staff to do it alone. Every teacher has access to a highly qualified Special Education Facilitator to brainstorm with and receive coaching from, as well as access to a Special Education Director who will partner with you.
All of our special education certificated staff receive a generous stipend and IEP release days. New special education staff receive a significant amount of support during the on-boarding process, including specialized training on writing IEPs and review of curriculum and instructional materials available to our staff. Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
