Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools in New Orleans is seeking an energetic classroom teacher to join our 100% on-site team. You will plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons, monitor progress, and build relationships with students and families.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of urban teaching experience, a state teaching credential, and a track record of improving student outcomes. We offer a supportive network, ongoing PD, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• State teaching credential required.
• At least two years of teaching in urban, open enrollment schools.
• Demonstrated success raising student achievement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using HQIM; communicate daily objectives and success criteria.
• Differentiate and scaffold for diverse learners; provide accommodations for IEP/504 students.
• Use data to drive instruction; analyze assessments and adjust tomorrow’s plan.
• Build a safe, positive classroom culture and establish expectations.
• Communicate progress to families through updates and conferences with interpreters as needed.
