Job summary

Ashland School District 5 is seeking a Head Coach for Swimming at Ashland High School. This stipend/extra duty position leads a competitive swimming program, guiding athletes, planning practices, and coordinating with the Athletics Director and building principal.

The role requires prior coaching experience, a valid CPR/First Aid card, and completion of the OSAA Coaches Education Program, with strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure safe, successful seasons.

Qualifications

• Certification: OSAA Coaches Education Program.
• Previous experience coaching in the sport and solid leadership skills strongly desired.
• Valid first aid/CPR card is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises assistant coaches.
• Holds organized, supervised practice as the program requires.
• Teaches the skills necessary to participate and to be competitive in the sport.
• Teaches the strategies necessary to participate and to be competitive in the sport.
• Promotes the ethical value of athletics and maintains safety standards.
