Job summary

Ashland School District 5 is seeking a Head Coach for Wrestling at Ashland High School. The role provides leadership to a student-athlete program and involves coaching, practice planning, and competition management.

The position is a stipend/extra duty assignment reporting to the Athletics Director and Building Principal. Candidates should have OSAA coaching certification, wrestling coaching experience, and a current first aid/CPR card.

Qualifications

• OSAA Coaches Education Program certification required or strongly preferred.
• Coaching experience in wrestling and leadership abilities are desirable.
• Valid first aid/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises assistant coaches.
• Holds organized, supervised practice as the program requires.
• Teaches skills and strategies to participate and compete.
• Develops seasonal goals and daily practice plans.
• Maintains records of equipment, eligibility, and medical information.
• Ensures appropriate safety supervision of student athletes.
• Attends coaching clinics and adheres to district policies.
