Position Overview

The Substitute Teacher is responsible for supporting student learning across various classroom settings at the High School. This includes following lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring that students are well-supported in their academic and social development.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 1-3 years of successful classroom management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Primarily indoor work (90% of the time), with some outdoor exposure when moving between classrooms.
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods, especially when using a computer.
• Must be able to move supplies or equipment up to 35 pounds.
• Must assist children for health and safety reasons.
• Work environment may include noise, temperature and humidity changes, and frequent use of computers and monitors.
