Job summary

KIPP New Jersey seeks a Managing Director of High Schools to lead and design the long-term strategy for its high school portfolio in Newark and beyond. The role drives four-year college matriculation, SAT and GPA outcomes, and school culture while coordinating cross-functional and regional initiatives to strengthen KTAF high schools.

Reporting to the CAO and aligning with Newark regional leadership, the MDHS will influence future openings, partnerships, and program design across regions,

Qualifications

• Charter school experience.
• Experience and results managing or coaching school principals.
• Experience and results as a high school principal.
• 5+ years leading high-performing leaders in a results-driven environment.
• 8+ years total work experience.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of Newark high school School Leaders.
• Dotted-line management of the high school Principal Manager in Camden, Miami, and Paterson.
• Owns the KTAF high school strategic plan and leads a cross-functional team of high school specialists.
• Set goals and coach School Leaders; monitor progress and culture metrics.
• Drive SAT and GPA topline goals and college matriculation across the high school band.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to align staffing, budget, and facilities decisions for high schools.
