Qualifications

• Must hold Connecticut Special Education certification (165).
• Experience with co-teaching and consultative models.
• Ability to provide direct instruction in resource room settings.
• Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Analysis and writing behavioral support plans.
• Strong communication with administration, staff and families.
• Familiarity with Planning and Placement Team (PPT) process and related compliance.
• Handle with Care training (district-provided).
• Ability to develop schedules for paraprofessionals to support students.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and case management for students with IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to modify curriculum.
• Implement IEP goals and adjust instruction based on student data.
• Develop a daily/weekly schedule for paraprofessionals supporting caseloads.
• Lead and participate in PPT meetings and eligibility discussions.
• Communicate effectively with administrators, families and team members.
