Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; additional certification in another content area preferred.
• Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students using district-approved curriculum and develops lesson plans with clear objectives communicated to students and families.
• Uses varied assessment practices to evaluate academic and social growth and records progress accordingly.
• Implements district requirements and board policies; contributes to school improvement plan within the classroom.
• Maintains a safe, orderly classroom environment conducive to learning and addresses diversity.
• Enforces the school discipline plan with clear expectations and consistent consequences; supports a diverse school community.
• Meets physical demands of the position and is available to students outside instructional hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
