Capac Jr.-Sr. High School in Capac, Michigan is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on placement in a secondary setting within the Capac Community School District, with consideration given to all Special Education endorsements.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Michigan K-12 teaching certificate with one or more Special Education endorsements, and may have an endorsement in ELA or Math. Strong collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

Valid Michigan K-12 Teaching Certificate with one or more Special Education endorsements or willingness to pursue.
Prior successful teaching experience preferred.
Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.

Responsabilités

Plans curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
Instructs individuals and groups on special education skill areas; modifies curriculum as needed.
Monitors student progress in and outside the resource room; evaluates progress to set goals.
Prepares report cards and educational records; maintains documentation and records.
Participates in weekly building special education committee meetings and communicates with families.
