Job summary

Everett High School (Everett Public Schools) is seeking an Assistant Crew Coach for the rowing program. You will report to the Head Crew Coach and the Director of Athletics, supporting student-athletes throughout the season with instruction, safety, and mentorship.

The role involves coaching, record-keeping, academic eligibility oversight, and attending athletic meetings. A focus on sportsmanship and collaboration with staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
• CPR certification required or preferred.
• Completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class and/or other requirements is preferred.
• Knowledge of crew and its rules; ability to instruct players in all facets of the sport.

Responsibilities

• Coach athletes in rowing skills for excellence.
• Maintain records: rosters, injuries, scores, stats, reports.
• Be available year-round for guidance and student support.
• Determine athletes’ academic eligibility and compliance with policies.
• Ensure safety of facilities and equipment for practices and contests.
• Attend athletic department/meetings and stay informed on rule changes.
