Job summary

Everett Public Schools in Everett, Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Varsity Hockey Coach for Boys Hockey at Everett High School. This stipend position reports to the Head Boys Hockey Coach and supports the athletics department in developing student athletes.

The successful candidate will have ice hockey knowledge, prior coaching experience at high school or college level, CPR certification, and completion of MIAA Coaches Education.

Qualifications

• Ice hockey knowledge and ability to instruct players in all facets of the sport.
• Experience coaching at high school or college level is desirable.
• CPR Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coach players in the skills necessary for excellence in the sport.
• Maintain accurate records of rosters, injuries, scores, stats, and reports.
• Be available during the school year to support student scholastic achievement and guidance.
• Determine student-athlete academic eligibility.
• Oversee safety conditions of facilities and supervise areas during practices and contests.
• Attend Athletic Department and EHS meetings related to the sport coached.
