Job summary

Bethel Bakery in North Strabane, PA is seeking a High School Retail Associate for part-time work. The role pays $11/hour and requires after-school availability 3–4 weekdays, plus up to an 8-hour Saturday shift. You will greet customers, stock displays, operate the cash register, and keep the store clean.

Applicants must be at least 14 with a valid work permit, have a positive attitude, and be able to stand for shifts. Lifting up to 30 pounds is required.

Student Availability Requirements

We’re looking for students with consistent, year-round availability. This role may not be the best fit for students with frequent sports, extracurricular, or other weekly commitments. Students must be available to work 3–4 weekdays after school, including either Monday or Wednesday, generally between 3:45–6:30 p.m., plus up to an 8-hour Saturday shift. Students are typically scheduled 2–3 weekdays plus Saturdays, based on business needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet customers and assist with purchases
• Restock and organize bakery display cases & shelves with products
• Operate the cash register
• Keep the store clean and inviting

Requirements:

• Must be at least 14 years old with a valid work permit
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to stand for the duration of your shift
• Comfortable lifting trays of products and decorated cakes weighing up to 30 pounds
• Good communication and basic math skills

Availability:

• Able to work year-round (school year + summer)
• Part-time (15-20 hours/week)
• Available to work 3-4 weekdays after school from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Mondays or Wednesdays required), plus up to an 8-hour shift on Saturdays
• Closed Sundays and major holidays — no late nights!
