Job summary

Bethel Bakery is a family-owned retail bakery seeking a friendly Sales Associate. You will welcome customers, keep displays organized, and assist with cake icing messages after training.

The role requires the ability to lift 30 lb and handle POS transactions with accuracy. The ideal candidate will have retail or customer service experience, strong communication, basic math, and multitasking skills, plus reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.

• Availability for 3–4 weekdays, mornings to middays, plus occasional Saturdays.

We're currently looking for a friendly and dependable Sales Associate who enjoys helping others and creating a welcoming experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

Ideal candidate: Someone with consistent availability to work 3-4 weekdays, primarily morning through midday shifts, and flexibility to work occasional Saturdays as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome every customer with a smile and deliver exceptional service
• Keep bakery displays clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Write messages on cakes with icing (we will train you!)
• Accurately handle cash and credit transactions using our POS system
• Assist with opening/closing tasks, including brewing coffee, tagging items, and securing the store

What We're Looking For:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication, basic math, and multitasking skills
• The ability to lift 30 pounds, squeeze pastry bags, and stay active throughout the shift
• Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
• A team-first mindset and pride in doing great work

Schedule:

• Part-Time; 18-24 Hours/Week
• Year-round position requiring consistent daytime availability
• Available to work 3-4 weekdays, primarily morning through midday shifts
• Flexible scheduling within our operating hours
• Occasional Saturday availability required, particularly during busy holiday seasons
• Closed Sundays and major holidays
• Not suitable for high school students or seasonal-only workers
