Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Facilitator to support students with disabilities across Rockingham and Caswell Counties. You'll help teens ages 14-22 develop workplace readiness and practical life skills while preparing for independence after high school.

The role involves assisting in classrooms, working with small groups or individuals, and traveling between high schools to deliver Pre-ETS activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students or individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to travel between Rockingham County & Caswell County schools.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and student activities.

• Prepare lesson materials and hands-on activities.
• Encourage participation and skill development.
• Maintain program documentation and assist with billing.

Job Type: Full-Time | 10-month

Location: Rockingham & Caswell Counties

Pay: $19.00/hour

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Facilitator to support students with disabilities throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, you'll work with students ages 14-22 as they develop workplace readiness and practical life skills while preparing for greater independence after high school.

What You'll Do

• Support classroom instruction and student activities
• Work with students individually and in small groups
• Prepare lesson materials and hands-on activities
• Encourage participation and skill development
• Maintain program documentation and assist with billing
• Collaborate with instructors and school staff
• Travel between assigned high schools throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties

What You'll Bring

• Associate's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience working with students or individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel between Rockingham County& CaswellCounty school sites
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day
