Job summary

IDEA College Prep Teachers at IDEA Public Schools are responsible for ensuring students master academic and social skills to succeed in college. They set ambitious goals, track data, and develop daily lesson plans based on feedback to deliver rigorous material and opportunities for college credit through dual enrollment, AP, or IB courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Teaching certification preferred; certified or eligible preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade-level instruction.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress to students and families weekly.
