Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks teachers for IDEA College Prep to ensure students master academics and social skills needed for college, while upholding IDEA's values daily.

You will implement state standards, deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and communicate with families. A bachelor’s degree and K-12 teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• State teaching certification preferred but not required.
• Strong content-area knowledge aligned to state standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula.
• Deliver content and grade-level instruction.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance.
• Assess student progress and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families weekly.
• Foster positive classroom behavior and school culture.
• Participate in after-school duties and meetings.
• Commit to 40+ hours on-site weekly.
