Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from a Professional Standards Commission (PSC) approved college or university.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum and foster development across intellectual, physical, social, and emotional domains.
• Demonstrate command of the subject taught and align instructions to AKS objectives.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives and plan instruction to promote mastery of prerequisite skills.
• Evaluate, select, and modify resources to match AKS and learner needs.
• Provide initial focus for lessons and communicate learning objectives to students.
• Organize content logically and structure lessons with blocks or steps.
• Use effective instructional strategies and assess student understanding regularly.
• Provide formative assessments to guide instruction and give feedback to students and parents.
• Deliver summative assessments and maintain records of student progress.
• Create a well-managed learning environment with organized routines and smooth transitions.
• Maintain professional responsibilities and engage in ongoing growth.
