Job summary

KIPP New Jersey is seeking a Managing Director of School Operations for High Schools (HS MDSO) to lead operational excellence across two Newark high schools. The role sets and models standards for DCOs, drives attendance, enrollment, and safety, and partners with regional teams to improve systems for student success.

The role reports to the Managing Director of Operations and focuses on coaching leaders, aligning resources, and sustaining a high bar for school operations across the network.

Qualifications

• Experience and results in a school-based operations leadership role.
• Direct management experience, with a track record of developing leaders and holding a high bar.
• 5-10 years of work experience, preferably in business or operations management.
• K-12 education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of DCOs at Newark high schools and ensure their ops teams' performance.
• Partner with high school leaders and regional teams to standardize and improve operations.
• Coach DCOs with feedback, observations and development plans.
• Lead risk management, emergency drills, and after-action reviews for fast iteration.
• Align operational priorities with student and family outcomes.
