Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center Fort Wayne – North is hiring a Part-Time Math Tutor to deliver high school level math in a supportive, individualized environment. You’ll see the “light bulb” moments daily as you teach a concept in multiple ways until it sticks, building skills and confidence.

You’ll work in 1-hour blocks, up to 5 blocks per night and up to 4 nights per week, potentially tutoring three students at once.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education required.
• Mastery and relatability of math concepts up to calculus.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work in 1-hour tutoring blocks.
• Tutor up to three students at a time.
• Observe and record students’ progress through pre-planned curriculum.
• Communicate with Center Directors regarding availability and student concerns.
