Job summary

East Side Union High School District seeks a skilled composer/arranger to write music for the district's marching band and/or winter percussion programs. The role involves collaboration with the credentialed teacher, supporting students of varying skill levels across one or more school sites.

Responsibilities include design, rehearsal prep, instruction, and performance support. Selected candidates collaborate to deliver high-quality productions, with fingerprint clearance and TB test

Qualifications

• Experience with music composition, transcription and/or arranging for Marching Band and/or Winter Percussion.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching small and large group instruction.

Responsibilities

• Design music for the season-specific production.
• Attend and assist director at rehearsals as scheduled.
• Attend performances as scheduled with the director.
• Stay aligned with the director's goals and deadlines for materials.
• Foster student creativity, discipline and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
