Job summary

Richmond High School for the Arts in Richmond, VA is seeking a Majorettes/Flag Coach for the Athletics department. This temporary, part-time position reports to the School Principal and Student Activities Director and carries a stipend of $900–$1,100 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include coaching VHSL activities, planning in-season practices, and managing uniforms, equipment, and safety in coordination with staff. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed teacher regularly employed by the School Board or have special VHSL permission to coach.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage VHSL‑sanctioned athletic activities.
• Bilingual skills including Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach VHSL‑sanctioned activities as appropriate.
• Plan and schedule regular practice programs in-season.
• Coach individuals to develop skills for athletic excellence.
• Assist in selecting, assigning and evaluating assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with the student activities director on uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
