Qualifications

• Have cued speech Level III or National Cued Speech Association cert.
• Meet VQAS minimum competency requirements per RI for ethics.

Responsibilities

• Interpret/transliterate the teacher's message to convey content and spirit.
• Interpret classroom discussions, conversations, and assemblies.
• Maintain confidentiality in all assignments.
• Learn signs and cues for vocabulary prior to need.
• Confer with students to discuss new signs and vocabulary.
• Assist by directing students to teachers and encouraging note-taking.
