Qualifications

• Education: Earned at least 60 semester hours of college credit or equivalent.
• Education: Associate degree (or higher) or equivalent.
• Assessment: ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with score at least 460.
• SAT: College Board SAT scores meeting minimums as stated.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instructional and non-instructional duties.
• Read aloud to students and guide small groups to complete assignments.
• Work with small groups for targeted instructional purposes.
• Assist students individually who have difficulty understanding directions.
• Help prepare instructional materials.
• Accompany classes on field trips.
• Operate audio-visual equipment as needed.
• Assist with classroom clerical tasks and activity logs.
• Support teacher with interviews and enrollments when appropriate.
• Assist in health and parent programs when appropriate.
