Job summary

Rutherford County Schools in Forest City, NC seeks a High School Instructional Coach for 2026-2027 to provide instructional support and professional learning to grades 9–12 teachers.

This role partners with administrators and district staff to strengthen classroom instruction, analyze student data, and promote evidence-based practices aligned with the NC standards and school improvement goals.

Starting date is immediate; salary follows NC Teacher Salary Schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; North Carolina teaching license appropriate for high school
• Experience in high school settings with data-driven instruction and instructional practices
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators and provide professional learning

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Rutherford County Schools' instructional framework and initiatives.
• Provide coaching and instructional support to high school teachers (grades 9–12).
• Collaborate with staff to plan standards-based, rigorous instruction aligned with state standards.
• Model effective instructional strategies and provide non-evaluative feedback.
