Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Winter season Indoor Track Assistant Coach for Lightridge High School. The role supports the head coach and athletic department in running a well-structured program.

The position emphasizes cooperation, attendance at staff meetings, and duties assigned by the head coach or athletic director. CPR/First Aid certification and a Virginia teaching license are preferred among candidates.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or currently enrolled.
• Preference for Virginia teaching license or full-time classified LCPS employee.
• Experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Collaborate with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies for the sports program.
• Recommend disciplinary actions for players violating rules.
• Foster sportsmanship, school pride, and community pride among athletes.
• Perform other duties as requested by the principal and/or athletic director.
