Lightridge High School in Stone Ridge, Virginia is seeking an Indoor Track Assistant Coach for the winter season (November–February).

Work with head coach and athletic department; attend staff meetings; assist with equipment, discipline, and program development; promote sportsmanship and school pride.

Eligibility includes coaching or playing experience at high school/college level and CPR/First Aid training; Virginia teaching license preferred or classified staff background.

Qualifications

Coaching or participation in the sport at high school or college level.
CPR and First Aid training completed or in progress.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
Virginia Teaching License candidate preferred or a full-time classified employee.

Responsibilities

Work with head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
Collaborate with the athletic department.
Attend staff meetings during the season.
Carry out duties designated by the head athletic coach.
Recommend equipment and supplies for the program.
Suggest disciplinary actions for players violating rules.
Foster sportsmanship, school pride, and community pride.
Perform other duties as requested by the principal or athletic director.

Job Overview

High school Lightridge, Indoor Track assistant coaching position. Season runs Winter: November - February

Roles and Responsibilities

To work cooperatively with the head athletic coach in order to operate a well structured program.
To work cooperatively with the athletic department.
To attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
To carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
To recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
To recommend suggested disciplinary actions regarding players violating training rules and procedures.
To foster among the athletes a desire to win, an attitude of good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
To perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Qualifications

Coaching experience or participation in the sport which you are applying for on high school or college levels.
Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
