Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking an assistant track coach at Woodgrove High School for the Spring season (February—May). The role involves assisting the head coach and working with the athletic department to manage the program and ensure a positive, competitive environment.

CPR and First Aid certification are required or must be in progress; Virginia teaching license candidates or full-time classified employees are preferred. Salary details are provided via the LCPS compensation page.

Qualifications

Coaching experience at high school or college level or participation in the sport.
CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled in a course.

Responsibilities

To work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well structured program.
To work cooperatively with the athletic department.
To attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
To carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
To recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
To recommend disciplinary actions regarding players violating training rules and procedures.
To foster among the athletes a desire to win, good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
To perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
