Job summary

Lightridge High School in Stone Ridge, Virginia is seeking an Indoor Track Assistant Coach for the winter season (November–February).

Work with head coach and athletic department; attend staff meetings; assist with equipment, discipline, and program development; promote sportsmanship and school pride.

Eligibility includes coaching or playing experience at high school/college level and CPR/First Aid training; Virginia teaching license preferred or classified staff background.

Qualifications

• Coaching or participation in the sport at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or in progress.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia Teaching License candidate preferred or a full-time classified employee.

Responsibilities

• Work with head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Collaborate with the athletic department.
• Attend staff meetings during the season.
• Carry out duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies for the program.
• Suggest disciplinary actions for players violating rules.
• Foster sportsmanship, school pride, and community pride.
• Perform other duties as requested by the principal or athletic director.
