Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools (GCS) seeks a Graduation Coach to support high school scholars toward graduation and postsecondary readiness. You will work with scholars, families, teachers, counselors, and partners to identify at-risk students and provide targeted interventions.

Responsibilities include development of individualized Engagement and Career Plans, credit recovery coordination, and transition planning between middle and high schools to improve graduation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and Tennessee certification in Teaching or School Counseling/School Psychology/School Social Work or Leadership.
• Minimum of five years of successful counseling and/or teaching experience.
• Ability to analyze student data to identify needs and design interventions.

Responsibilities

• Identify scholars at risk of not graduating using academic and behavioral data.
• Develop individualized Engagement and Career Plans and monitor progress each term.
• Coordinate credit recovery, interventions, and alternative options to keep on track for graduation.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to adapt instruction and supports.
• Provide training and support to staff on strategies for at-risk scholars.
• Lead transition planning and vertical team meetings between middle and high schools.
• Engage families and community partners to support graduation goals.
