Job summary

Camden City School District is seeking an English Teacher/Language Arts for a K-12 setting. The role focuses on leading high-quality instruction and ensuring students meet grade-level standards in a challenging urban environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• NJ English teaching certificate (1410) required.
• Experience teaching low-income urban students preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with current insurance and vehicle registration.
• Criminal background check, physical and U.S. citizenship/residency proof required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, differentiated instruction to students.
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students.
• Modify instruction to align with district goals and high standards.
• Design comprehensive lesson plans that meet daily objectives and grade-level standards.
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers to address student needs.
• Track student achievement data and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Deliver constructive feedback to improve student performance.
• Maintain accurate grade and attendance records and communicate progress.
