Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate: Elementary (1000) or Elementary K-6 (1001) or Preschool-Grade 3 (1013).
• Experience teaching low-income students in urban settings preferred.
• Valid driver's license with current insurance and vehicle registration.
• Criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal status.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to students.
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals and monitor progress with data.
• Modify instruction to align with district goals and standards.
• Plan lessons and units that build skills needed for daily objectives.
• Collaborate with Special Education staff to meet student needs.
• Track student achievement data and inform instruction.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain and report grades and attendance; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Incorporate technology into lessons and participate in professional development.
