Camden City School District is seeking an Art teacher to lead classroom instruction and promote high standards for urban students. The role requires a NJ Art certificate and a commitment to equity, data‑driven planning, and parent partnerships.

The teacher will design rigorous lessons, track progress with data analysis, and collaborate with Special Education staff to meet diverse needs. It is a ten-month, tenurable full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• New Jersey Instructional Certificate in Art (Art Teacher 1200).
• Prior experience teaching low-income students in an urban setting (strongly preferred).
• A valid driver's license with current insurance and valid vehicle registration.
• Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

• Provide high quality, differentiated instruction to students.
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students and invest students in these goals.
• Modify instruction to align with district goals and high standards.
• Design and implement robust lesson, unit and long-term plans aligned to standards.
• Co‑plan with Special Education Teachers as needed.
• Continuously track student achievement data to inform instruction.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve student performance.
• Enforce classroom rules consistently and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain grade and attendance records and monitor student mastery.
• Incorporate technology into lessons and participate in ongoing professional growth.
• Communicate with families and community to engage stakeholders.
• Attend professional development and data analysis meetings; support district initiatives.
