Job summary

Wesley Family Services in Whitehall, PA is hiring an Educational Therapeutic Specialist for our high school. We serve students from many districts and integrate educational and therapeutic support.

The role provides classroom support, helps develop and implement treatment and behavior plans, and works with mental health staff to support students. The position follows a 10-month calendar (summers off but paid); Monday–Friday; weekends and holidays off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience with children/adolescents in a clinical setting strongly preferred.
• Licenses, Certifications & Clearances as listed (Act 33/34, FBI, PA clearances, PA Driver’s License).

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and revision of behavioral plans and IEP goals with guidance from staff.
• Implements therapeutic interventions and assists in group interventions.
• Performs progress monitoring documentation and daily duties as assigned.
• Supports PBIS and Recovery/Resiliency practices and participates in team meetings.
• Provides academic support and leads small group instruction as needed.
• Works one-on-one with students and maintains safety according to TCI principles.
