Job summary

Behavioral Health Associates is seeking a Therapist to provide direct counseling and academic/behavioral support to students in a therapeutic and educational setting. You will create weekly lesson plans and utilize crisis prevention techniques as needed, while documenting observations.

You will assist with academic instruction and help foster a non-threatening, respectful school community under supervision of the Program Director. Full-time position with benefits is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Education or related field.
• Experience in a school or mental health setting.
• Uses effective verbal and written expression.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and academic services to students.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Utilize non-violent crisis prevention intervention techniques when necessary.
• Assist with delivery of academic instruction.
• Document student observations/data.
• Contribute to a safe, restorative school environment.
