Job summary

Bermudian Springs School District is seeking a Custodian at Bermudian Springs High School. The term-time hours run from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm for 180+ days, with a ½ hour unpaid lunch; summer hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm for 81+ days, also with a ½ hour unpaid lunch.

Duties include heavy-duty cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting restrooms and supply facilities, as well as dusting and window care. Training is provided; prior experience is nice but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform repetitive motions including standing, walking, and bending for up to 8 hours per day.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and task-oriented, works well with team concepts.

Responsibilities

• Heavy-duty cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting restrooms and facilities.
• Dusting, windows, and other duties per district cleaning procedure handbook.
• Mix cleaning solutions as instructed.
• Collect trash and recyclables.

Custodian Position

School term hours – 2:30 pm‑11:00 pm for 180 plus days (with a ½ hour unpaid lunch).

Job Description

• A person should be self‑motivated and task‑oriented, who works well with team concepts.
• Duties include but are not limited to: heavy‑duty cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting restrooms, supply facilities, dust, windows, and other duties described in our district cleaning procedure handbook.
• A person should be able to mix cleaning solutions in preparation for cleaning according to instructions.
• Gather trash and recyclables.
• Experience is great, but not necessary; we will train.
• We pair our new team members with experienced teams to train and introduce them to our style of cleaning.

Pay Range

$15.80 – $16.30 based on experience. An additional $.40 will be paid when second shift hours are worked.
