Job summary

Cahokia High School, part of Cahokia Unit School District #187 – Cahokia Heights, IL, seeks dynamic CTE educators to develop and deliver instruction across multiple pathways for grades 9–12. Teachers will provide hands-on technical instruction preparing students for college, certifications, employment, and internships.

Two licensure pathways are available: Industry Experience with ISBE ELS-CTE or Professional Educator License (PEL) with CTE endorsement; eligibility includes required coursework

Qualifications

• Two pathways available: industry experience or professional educator licensure.
• Holds or obtains ISBE licensure relevant to CTE prior to hire date.
• CTE endorsement requirements and coursework completion specified.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach a CTE course sequence aligned with Perkins V and ISBE indicators.
• Deliver classroom, lab, and workshop instruction with hands-on learning.
• Coordinate and supervise CTSO activities and student competitions.
• Collaborate with CTE team and participate in department meetings and PD.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Technical School degree

2–4 years CTE work experience

ISBE Educator License with Stipulations (ELS-CTE)

ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with CTE endorsement

CTE endorsement requires exam + 18 semester hours
