Job summary

Cahokia High School in Cahokia Heights, IL is expanding its Career and Technical Education programs to offer high school students meaningful career-training opportunities across multiple pathways. We are seeking dynamic CTE educators to develop and deliver instruction in several program areas with focus on hands-on learning for grades 9-12.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical school degree in the related CTE program area.
• Minimum 2–4 years of documented work experience in the CTE field.
• Holds or obtains ISBE Educator License with Stipulations (ELS-CTE) before hire.
• Alternatively, holds ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with a CTE endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach a CTE course sequence aligned with Perkins V and ISBE indicators.
• Provide instruction integrating academic, technical, and employability skills.
• Deliver engaging hands-on classroom, lab, and workshop instruction.
• Differentiate instruction based on student needs and learning styles.
• Coordinate CTSO activities and encourage competition participation.
• Collaborate with CTE team, participate in department meetings and PD.
• Attend annual CTE advisory board meetings with partners.
• Evaluate program quality and update instructional materials as needed.
• Enforce safety procedures and manage program resources and budgeting.
