Job summary

San Marcos High School in Texas seeks a Classroom Teacher for CTE/Business/Management to join the high school team immediately. This exempt role reports to the Principal and requires a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate or equivalent industry experience.

The teacher will develop and deliver engaging lessons, aligning with district and state policies, while supporting diverse learners and ensuring a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate, with endorsements for the subject/level assigned, or industry experience in field of study.

Responsibilities

• Use strategies and activities to raise student performance in the content area and on state assessments.
• Develop and implement lesson plans for the curriculum program assigned with written evidence of preparation.
• Create lessons reflecting accommodations for individual student differences.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines, board policies, and admin regulations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials that meet diverse student needs.
• Promote high performance expectations and recognize excellence.
• Coordinate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
