Job summary

Spearman High School seeks a Secondary Business Education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Position includes a $3,000 master’s degree stipend and a health insurance contribution of $400 per month from the district.

The teacher will provide students with engaging activities in core business subjects and align instruction with TEA guidelines, district policies, and state regulations. Strong planning, collaboration, and classroom management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification.
• Math certification, preferred.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• One year student teaching, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials and technology reflecting students' needs.
• Coordinate with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed per IEP.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement via formal and informal tests.
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Manage student behavior per Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues and community.
• Comply with state, district and school regulations and policies for teachers.

Primary Purpose:

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competecies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree from accredited university

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district's curriculum program.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned and present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and administrative regulations
• Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in IEP
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of studnts
• Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, collegues and community members
• Comply with state, district and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers
