Job summary

University of California, Davis seeks a dedicated outreach professional to develop programs increasing college readiness for students from underrepresented backgrounds. You will advise, coordinate workshops, and represent UC Davis at events in the Redding area.

The role focuses on arranging academic enrichment, supporting applications and financial aid processes, and collaborating with schools and families to expand access to higher education.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and driving record per local policy.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Advising experience serving large numbers of low-income/first-generation high school students.
• Experience with program development and management and with diverse communities.
• Knowledge to understand admissions procedures, registration, financial aid, and gift acceptance.
• Experience with California public school system.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach and admissions activities in target schools.
• Provide academic support services to students and families.
• Coordinate conferences and campus visits for participants.
• Develop and manage program initiatives and materials.
