JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION

Junior High / High School Classroom Proctor

  • Blended Learning
  • College Credit Plus
  • Study Hall

Will work only days students are in session: 7:30-TBD
This position is excluded from the Negotiated Agreement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, minimum requirement
  • Current and Valid Ohio Teaching License Preferred
  • Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred

RESPONSIBLE TO: Junior High / High School Principal

General District Goals
  • Maintain and expand Tri-Village's educational image
  • Develop pathways to utilize data
  • Integrate literacy skills and literacy techniques in all subject areas at all grade levels
  • Maintain long-term financial stability of the district
Essential Job Functions
  • Set high expectations for students to work for the entire period on the coursework required for their class schedule.
  • Hold students accountable for appropriate behavior
  • Create a physical environment conducive to learning
  • Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm and rapport with students and faculty.
  • Communicate with teaching staff, guidance and building administrator regarding student progress or lack there of.
  • Manage student transitions between classes
  • Troubleshoot student access issues (including connectivity, usernames/passwords and multimedia)
  • Availability to attend training sessions for the betterment of the school district if needed.
  • Additional or different functions may be assigned as required.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required
  • Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance.
  • Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects.
  • Abilities to stand and walk for prolonged periods, perform a variety of specialized tasks; maintain records; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, other school personnel; meet schedules and deadlines. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying, reaching/handling, talking/hearing, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
