Job summary

Upper Scioto Valley Local School District is seeking a Classroom Monitor to assist with supervision of students during daily classroom activities, meals, and recess, ensuring a positive and safe environment. The role reports to the assigned teacher and is evaluated by the elementary principal.

Responsibilities

  • Assists students during meals and cafeteria activities; helps with opening packages and milk cartons and cleans up spills.
  • Responds to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns and administers minor first aid as needed.
  • Maintains safe environment for students and enforces district policies and expectations.
  • Collaborates with staff to implement behavior management plans and supports inclusive education.
  • Attends required meetings and communicates with parents and staff as needed.

Title: Classroom Monitor

Reports to: Assigned Teacher(s)

Evaluator:Elementary Principal

Job Objective: This position provides assistance and supervision for children during daily classroom activities, lunch and/or assigned recesses to ensure a positive and safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications: • Meets highly qualified standards. Valid state department of education license/certificate appropriate for the position.

Essential Functions:
