The Assistant Principal / Dean of Students is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day high school building operations to ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment. The administrator takes strategic ownership of the school's Attendance Team to execute monthly attendance reporting and actively reduce chronic absenteeism. Daily duties include managing student discipline, implementing behavior interventions, overseeing parent/teacher conferences, and actively driving Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) alongside the Student Services team. The position also provides instructional and staff support in conducting OTES evaluations, managing substitute coordination, and supporting academic and CTE instructors. Finally, the individual ensures campus safety and student success by supervising emergency drills and providing administrative oversight during lunch, student events, and extracurricular activities.
