• Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching).
• Must successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
• A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the school’s athletic program for the sport coached.
• Compete with a full varsity schedule according to MSHSAA standards.
• Supervise students at practices and contests per KCMSD Athletic Department rules.
• Maintain equipment inventory and inspect facilities.
• Model high standards of sportsmanship and leadership.
