Job summary

Oxford Hills School District seeks an exceptional candidate for the position of High School Boys Lacrosse Head Coach at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The coach will lead practices, schedule contests, and ensure safety and sportsmanship in all activities.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, coordinating with the Athletic Director, adhering to MPA by-laws, and maintaining records. Candidates must meet district requirements and be approved by the district.

Qualifications

• Successful coaching experience preferred.
• CPR, AFEP Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid Courses or equivalent, may take within the first year as a coach.
• At least 20 years of age.
• High School diploma.
• Must be approved by the Oxford Hills School District.
• Must sign a statement that they have read and agree to comply with all applicable ethics/by-laws.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in lacrosse.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice during the season.
• Works with the Athletic Director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Maintains attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.
• Oversees safety conditions of the facilities where lacrosse is conducted.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Meets with parents, media and community groups to foster support for the sport.
• Carries out procedures for prevention, care and treatment of athletic injuries.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
