Job summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking an excellent candidate for the position of High School Boys Lacrosse Head Coach at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. This role focuses on developing athletic skill and sportsmanship while representing the district with integrity.

Responsibilities include planning in-season practices, coordinating with the Athletic Director, managing equipment, and ensuring athlete safety.

Qualifications

• Successful coaching experience preferred.
• CPR, AFEP Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid Courses or equivalent.
• At least 20 years of age.
• Must be approved by the Oxford Hills School District.
• Must sign a statement agreeing to comply with all MPA By-Laws, policies and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
• Works closely with the Athletic Director in scheduling intramural and/or interscholastic contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniform, as appropriate.
• Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times.
• Establishes performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in his/her sport.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes penalties for breaches by students.
• Meets with parents, media, booster groups to improve public relations for the sport.
• Carries out procedures for prevention, care and treatment of athletic injuries.
• Assumes such other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
