Job summary

DSST Public Schools seeks a MI-A Center Program Special Education Teacher at Conservatory Green High School to provide inclusive, rigorous instruction and case management for students with disabilities in a center-based program.

The role collaborates with general education staff and families, leads paraprofessionals, and uses DSST curriculum to deliver engaging lessons while tracking progress and supporting growth in MTSS framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum: teaching license and special education endorsement.
• Colorado Special Education Endorsement required; out-of-state credentials may need transfer.

Responsibilities

• Be an IEP Case Manager: write data-driven IEPs, develop goals, monitor progress, deliver targeted interventions, and celebrate success with the student’s team and family.
• Ensure Students Receive Accommodations/Modifications: collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications effectively; advocate for diverse learners on MTSS.
• Manage a Team: supervise and develop a team of Paraprofessionals.
• Deliver Rigorous & Engaging Content: plan and teach rigorous, culturally responsive content to 3–5 classes daily using DSST curriculum.
• Track and Support Student Growth: monitor progress with various assessment tools to guide instruction.
• Promote Positive Culture: promote DSST culture and build trusting relationships with students and families.
• Pursue Professional Development: engage in coaching and development focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
• Contribute to School Community: participate in recruitment, advisory classes, after-school tutoring, etc.
