Job summary

DSST Public Schools is seeking a Center Program Special Education Teacher to lead instruction and case management within one of its center-based programs. You will serve students with diverse disabilities, collaborating with general education staff and families to ensure each student is supported and celebrated.

The role requires a Colorado teaching credential with a special education endorsement, and a commitment to inclusive, rigorous teaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Has both a teaching license and a special education endorsement.
• Ideal: Proven commitment to and experience with serving diverse learners and implementing positive behavior supports.

Responsibilities

• Be an IEP Case Manager: write data-driven IEPs, develop goals, monitor progress, deliver targeted interventions, and collaborate with families.
• Ensure accommodations/modifications are implemented with fidelity and advocate for diverse learners in MTSS teams.
• Manage and develop a team of paraprofessionals.
• Deliver rigorous, culturally responsive, grade-level content to 3–5 classes daily across campuses.
• Monitor student growth using various assessments to guide instruction.
• Promote a positive classroom culture aligned with DSST values and school climate.
• Engage in ongoing professional development focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
• Contribute to school community with duties such as recruitment support and tutoring.
