Job summary

Forest Hills Public School District in Ada, Michigan seeks an Athletic Director for Eastern High to provide leadership and coordination with the principal and coaches to develop a strong athletic program emphasizing skill development, fair play, and student growth.

The role reports to the Principal, involves a 52-week administration, budget control, hiring of coaches, and scheduling athletic events, while ensuring Title IX compliance and district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with improvement of athletic programs and success in building collaborative relationships with students, parents, teachers and the school community.
• Management and leadership skills.
• Organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Promote participation in interscholastic athletics and athletic clubs.
• Promote a positive attitude among athletes and coaches.
• Coordinate the hiring of game personnel and conduct annual written evaluations of coaches.
• Schedule and coordinate all athletic events including MHSAA competitions.
• Ensure compliance with Title IX and athletic regulations.
• Manage the athletic budget and related finances.
