Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Fitness, Athletic Training or related fields.
• Master’s degree in Ed Leadership or Health and Fitness preferred.
• Five years of related education experience, including three years of classroom teaching.
• Minimum of five years coaching/athletics/sports management experience in an urban school setting.
• Experience managing budgets and personnel required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all major functions of athletics at local high schools.
• Be available for after school, evenings/weekend practices, events and meets.
• Be punctual and have good attendance.
• Regularly monitor scholar-athletes academic eligibility performance, attendance, behavior, training and development.
• Supervise all athletics participating coaches in the building.
• Coordinate the sports program in collaboration with school leadership and coaching staff.
• Observe and administer district policies.
• Ensure inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Submit administrative materials by deadlines.
• Work with Office of Athletics when scheduling contests and officials.
